MEDIA CREDENTIAL APPLICATION

2025 BANK OF AMERICA CHICAGO MARATHON MEDIA CREDENTIALS

Assignment editors must complete the application for representatives of their media organization by 5 p.m. (U.S. Central Time) on Friday, September 12, 2025. The marathon will not consider credential requests after that deadline.

Media credentials are printed with an individual’s name and media organization. Individuals are required to show photo identification when picking up media credentials.

Onsite media access for the event is not allowed for any individual who does not have a credential matching their photo identification. All media credential applications are reviewed by the Bank of America Chicago Marathon media team. Completing this application does not guarantee media credential access for the 2025 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. The event will contact applicants within ten business days with the status of their application.

MEDIA ACCESS OPTIONS

Media Center: This credential will allow the media member access to pre- and post-race press conferences, and the working Media Center on race day.

Photographer/videographer: This credential will allow the media member access to pre- and post-race press conferences and the start and finish line photo corrals.

• Start line photo corral access: Sunday, October 12 (5:30 to 8:30 a.m.)
  The start line photo corral will close as soon as the last runner crosses the start line.
• Finish line photo corral access: Sunday, October 12 (8:00 to 10:30 a.m.)
  The finish line corrals will close as soon as the last elite runner crosses the finish line.

Please note: Members of the media may shoot photography or video along the course without a race-issued credential. The start line and finish line photo corrals will only be accessible by media members with official credentials.  Members of the media will not have access to restricted areas of Grant Park beyond the designated start line and finish line photo corrals.

All credentialed media accessing Grant Park will be subject to a security screening. Media members covering the start of the race will receive transportation from the Hilton Chicago to the start line. More information will be sent to credentialed media in advance of race weekend.
