On Sunday, October 11, runners from more than 100 countries and all 50 states will converge on the streets of Chicago to take part in a journey of endurance, dedication and heart. As runners travel 26.2 miles through 29 neighborhoods, they are energized by the cheers of 1.7 million spectators and supported by the helping hands of more than 12,000 volunteers. As the race weaves through the city, we are reminded that while we are brought together from near and far, motivated by different reasons, we are united by a common goal to experience the Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
