Request an exception

Thank you for completing the online form indicating your interest to defer your place and entry fee to the 2022 event. Please note, this unique policy exception recognizes government travel restrictions preventing non-U.S. residents from traveling to Chicago race weekend.

All requests are reviewed and verified by the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. Upon completion of this process (which can take up to 10 business days), participants will receive an email indicating the status of their request.
