Travel restriction accommodation

The event has put into place an exception to our standard event policies to acknowledge government travel restrictions preventing a participant from traveling to Chicago race weekend. Registered participants who meet the following criteria on or after Friday, September 10, 2021, will be eligible to defer their 2021 place and entry fee to the 2022 event:

  • Current residents in countries included in a U.S. Presidential proclamation restricting travel into the United States to slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). More information, including impacted countries, is available at CDC.gov.
  • Registered participants who provide government documentation indicating a denied travel visa request or prohibited travel from their country of residence to the United States. Governments that allow travel with mandated quarantine windows are not eligible for this exception.

Eligible participants will have the opportunity to complete an online form indicating their interest to defer their place and entry fee to the 2022 event from Friday, September 10 through 5 p.m. (Central Time) on Wednesday, October 6, 2021.

Please note, participants who received a guaranteed entry for the 2021 event through the charity or tour group applications will need to reach out to their charity or tour group contact to discuss their eligibility for this accommodation. Participants who received a guaranteed entry for the 2021 event through the charity or tour group applications will not be eligible to complete the online form.
