MEDIA CREDENTIAL APPLICATION

COVER THE BANK OF AMERICA CHICAGO MARATHON

Assignment editors must complete the application for representatives of their media organization by 5 p.m. (U.S. Central Time) on Thursday, September 3, 2026. The marathon will not consider credential requests after that deadline.

MEDIA CREDENTIAL INFORMATION

Applicants will be notified of the status of their application according to the following schedule:

  • Application submitted by 5 p.m. (U.S. Central Time) on Monday, August 10: Notified on Wednesday, August 12
  • Application submitted by 5 p.m. (U.S. Central Time) on Monday, August 24: Notified on Wednesday, August 26
  • Application submitted by 5 p.m. (U.S. Central Time) on Thursday, September 3: Notified on Tuesday, September 8

Media credentials are printed with an individual’s name and media organization. Individuals are required to show photo identification and the confirmation email they will receive race week when picking up media credentials. Credentials will not be released to individuals who do not present their photo identification and confirmation email.

Onsite media access for the event is not allowed for any individual who does not have a credential matching their photo identification. All media credential applications are reviewed by the Bank of America Chicago Marathon media team. Completing this application does not guarantee media credential access for the 2026 Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
