The Bank of America Chicago Marathon welcomes participants from around the world for a one-of-a-kind racing experience on the streets of Chicago. Bank of America employees interested in joining the race weekend experience receive additional benefits and offers. EMPLOYEE REGISTRATION
Employees interested in running are encouraged to take advantage of a unique guaranteed entry opportunity. Bank of America employees can apply to receive a guaranteed entry to the 2027 Chicago Marathon. In addition, employee fees to enter this immensely popular race, one of the Abbott World Marathon Majors, are discounted $100.
Please note: this offer is available only to Bank of America employees and is not transferrable to non-employees, including family members.
ENTRY FEE
The entry fee reflects the cost and the resources required to stage a world-class marathon. Every dollar that is collected through registration is invested back into the event to help cover these expenses and to enhance the overall participant experience.
- U.S. residents (those who live in one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico or other U.S. territories): $150 (USD)
- Non-U.S. residents: $160 (USD)
Approved applicants must pay the entry fee after their application has been approved. Failure to complete your registration and pay the entry fee by Wednesday, June 9 will result in forfeiture of your place in the 2027 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. You will not be registered and will not be assigned a bib for the event.
A processing fee is applied to all entry fees.

BANK OF AMERICA CHICAGO DISTANCE SERIES
Take part in the fifth annual Bank of America Chicago Distance Series in 2027! The Chicago Distance Series is made up of Chicago’s premier racing portfolio: the Shamrock Shuffle 8K Run, Chicago 13.1 and Chicago Marathon. The three unique races span the outdoor running season and celebrate the vibrant and diverse nature of our local and global running communities.
Individuals who finish all 2027 events will receive a unique Bank of America Chicago Distance Series medal and a guaranteed entry into the 2028 Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
Bank of America employees receive a discount on entry into all three Distance Series events. To receive the discount, you must sign up for the race through the Bank of America employee pages.
