Virtual Experience

The Bank of America Chicago Marathon Virtual Experience kicked off on Monday, October 5 and culminated on Sunday, October 11, what would have been the 43rd running of the event.

Participants had until 11:59 p.m. (Central Time) on Thursday, October 15 to submit their Virtual Experience results.


Participant account

All registered Bank of America Chicago Marathon Virtual Experience participants can access their participant account at any time. Runners can use their participant account to download their Virtual Experience digital bib number, submit their results, access their finisher certificate, and more.


Submit your results

Participants had until 12 p.m. (Central Time) on Thursday, October 15 to submit their 2020 Bank of America Chicago Marathon Virtual Experience results.


Download your finisher certificate

Once you have submitted your results, you can download your Bank of America Chicago Marathon Virtual Experience finisher certificate with your name, time and distance badge. Follow the steps below to download your finisher certificate.

  • Log in to your participant account.
  • Once you’re logged in, click “Your Registrations” in the menu bar and then select “Bank of America Chicago Marathon Virtual Experience” below the menu.
  • Your finisher certificate will be available for download on the right-hand side of the Virtual Experience page.
  • Click the icon to download your unique certificate.

The Bank of America Chicago Marathon Virtual Experience featured daily programming with appearances from Chicago Marathon champions, elite athletes, amateur runners and more. Visit chicagomarathon.com/virtualexpo to access Virtual Experience programming on-demand.


2020 Virtual Experience requirements

  • Registrants under 18 years of age must have the registration form completed by a parent or legal guardian permitting participation. Participants must meet the age requirements for each distance at the start of the Virtual Experience window: Marathon (16 years of age or older), half marathon (14 years of age or older), 8K (8 years of age or older), 5K (8 years of age or older) and mile (8 years of age or older).
  • The Bank of America Chicago Marathon Virtual Experience requires that participants must complete their full desired distance at one time.
  • The sale and/or transfer of race entries/bib numbers is strictly prohibited.
  • All entry packages are nonrefundable.
  • All participants must be familiar with and abide by the event rules.
