Years on the job: This is my second.
Highlight of your particular aid station or your segment of the Marathon course: Due to my roots in the Pilsen community, connections with various community groups, and the diverse schools that participate in Chicago Run, I can guarantee our Aid Station is going to be lively and diverse. Chicago Run is a new not-for-profit organization that promotes youth running programs in our Chicago Public Schools and this will be a great way for our kids to be connected to the local running community. There is much potential—I am excited about the possibilities!
Volunteer Group: Chicago Run
Chicago Run is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the health and wellness of Chicago children through innovative, engaging, and sustainable youth running programs. Founded in December 2007 to aid in the effort against childhood obesity, Chicago Run organizes programs in underserved communities around the city, improving the health and uplifting the spirits of schoolchildren. "Chicago Runners" run 15 minutes per day, three to five days per week, and are rewarded for achieving their mileage goals. Chicago Run also sponsors events to inspire fitness and fun in youth throughout the year. Find out how you can get involved at chicagorun.org.
