Participant Bag and T-Shirt Preparing and distributing the Participant Bag and T-Shirt is a two step process for the volunteers at this station. Some volunteers will welcome runners, scan the barcode on Participant Packets, stamp the packets and distribute the Participant Bag and t-shirt to runners. Others will put event t-shirts into Participant Bags and group the bags by t-shirt size for quick and easy distribution. Volunteers must be able to stand for four (4) hours and are asked to be flexible when working in this area. Those individuals with good customer service skills and computer literacy, as well as some strong individuals to move heavy boxes are encouraged to volunteer at Participant Bag and T-Shirt.

Important Notices
Uniform
Volunteers will receive a Bank of America Chicago Marathon long-sleeved t-shirt and credential to be worn during their volunteer shift. Please dress casually and wear comfortable shoes. We recommend that you avoid bringing valuables and larger items (bags, backpacks, etc.) to the Expo. The Bank of America Chicago Marathon is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Age Requirement
We realize that the opportunity and actual experience of working on an event can have a positive impact on children and young adults of all ages; however, due to the unpredictable and physical nature of many of the event roles, we require that the minimum age of all of our individual volunteers be 16 years of age or older on the day they are volunteering.
For those same reasons we also ask that children and young adults under the age of 16 do not accompany individual volunteers when they are working on race day or at the Chicago Marathon Health & Fitness Expo.
